Deck overview

This mono-black aristocrats and reanimation deck leverages sacrifice outlets, death triggers, and high-impact graveyard recursion to dominate the board. While Avacyn, Angel of Horror sits in the command zone as an expensive late-game value engine that returns dying nontoken creatures at each end step, the core game plan operates autonomously through the 99. The deck deploys fast mana and cheap sacrifice fodder early, establishing an engine with pieces like Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, Warren Soultrader, or Skullclamp by Turn 4. On Turn 5, it pivots to critical onset with massive life swings from Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Kokusho, the Evening Star, Vein Ripper, or Living Death. It suppresses opposing boards using Grave Pact, Plaguecrafter, and Opposition Agent, closing out the game on Turn 6 through repeated drain loops and evasive combat.
