Deck overview

This Sultai deck pairs a compact, format-ceiling combo finish with an enchantress value shell and commander combat synergies. Led by Kotis, the Fangkeeper, the deck leverages fast mana acceleration like Chrome Mox, Mox Diamond, and Mana Vault alongside efficient land auras to outpace the table. Its primary game plan races toward the premier two-card win condition of Thassa's Oracle and Demonic Consultation, reliably assembled by Turn 3 through premier black tutors such as Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, and Imperial Seal. If the primary combo faces disruption, the deck pivots into substantial card engines including Rhystic Study, Necropotence, and enchantress draws. Alternatively, it can close games using a Laboratory Maniac backup line or lethal commander infect damage enabled by Glistening Oil, Phyresis, and Tainted Strike. Free counterspells like Force of Will and Fierce Guardianship defend critical turns, while Opposition Agent shuts down opposing search effects.
