Volo EDH Deck by MrZurkon

Format: Commander

Commander: Volo, Guide to Monsters

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This Simic deck is helmed by Volo, Guide to Monsters and aims to generate overwhelming value by casting creature spells with unique creature types, copying them for double the battlefield presence. The primary strategy is a midrange token-and-beatdown plan: ramp early, deploy Volo, then chain high-impact creatures like Tendershoot Dryad, Scute Swarm, and Rampaging Baloths to flood the board with tokens and large bodies. Win conditions are combat-oriented, leveraging trample enablers (Thunderfoot Baloth, End-Raze Forerunners) and token doublers (Second Harvest) to close out games. The deck lacks infinite combos, relying instead on cumulative value and occasional big swings from Akroma's Memorial or Desolation Twin. Interaction is moderate, with a handful of counterspells and creature-based removal, but the deck is slow and vulnerable to disruption.
