Yurlock Mana Burn by AgentGrif

Format: Commander

Commander: Yurlok of Scorch Thrash

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Jund punishment/stax deck helmed by Yurlok of Scorch Thrash forces massive mana generation via its tap ability and numerous doublers (Heartbeat of Spring, Dictate of Karametra, Mana Flare, Overabundance, Zhur-Taa Ancient), then punishes opponents for tapping lands (Manabarbs, Burning Earth, Citadel of Pain, Power Surge, Primal Order, Price of Progress), drawing (Fate Unraveler, Razorkin Needlehead, Spiteful Visions, Scrawling Crawler), and casting spells (Kaervek the Merciless, The Lord of Pain, Ruric Thar, the Unbowed, Spellshock). Yurlok's passive punishes unspent mana loss while All Will Be One and Bloodchief Ascension add counter/life-drain payoffs. Alternate wins come from Helix Pinnacle and The Millennium Calendar. The commander is essential for forcing the core engine.
