Deck overview

This deck is a Selesnya Enchantress Midrange strategy led by Gylwain, Casting Director. The primary game plan revolves around casting nontoken creatures to automatically trigger Gylwain, attaching Monster, Royal, or Sorcerer Role Auras to your board. These Role tokens continuously feed enchantment-based draw engines like Setessan Champion and Tanglespan Lookout, fuel explosive mana production through Sanctum Weaver, and grow tall beaters such as Regal Bunnicorn, Aura Gnarlid, and All That Glitters. In addition to going tall with Auras, the deck incorporates a stompy cheat package featuring Elvish Piper and Oviya, Automech Artisan to bypass high casting costs on lethal threats like Blightsteel Colossus, Darksteel Colossus, and Woodfall Primus. The deck defends itself with Umbra Mystic, Asceticism, and Sphere of Safety, while controlling opposing boards through versatile spot removal and asymmetric wipes like Winds of Rath. Victory is achieved by crushing opponents across consecutive combat phases.
