Deck overview

The deck's strongest plan is the compact combo of Smaug the Impenetrable and Pyrohemia. The commander is always accessible, while Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, Imperial Seal, and Gamble can find the enchantment. Fast mana such as Mana Vault, Sol Ring, Chrome Mox, Dark Ritual, and Seething Song helps cast the seven-mana commander and then deploy Pyrohemia. Once both are active, one red activation damages every creature and player, and Smaug the Impenetrable creates a Treasure from the damage. That Treasure pays for the next activation, producing unlimited damage without needing Xorn. The deck also has strong backup value from Dragons, Treasure payoffs, The One Ring, and Torment of Hailfire. Its main weaknesses are its high average curve, limited stack interaction, and reliance on Pyrohemia surviving long enough to resolve and activate.
