Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mono-Green Big Mana and Voltron strategy commanded by Omnath, Locus of Mana. The game plan revolves around accelerating mana early through dorks and land-ramp spells, deploying Omnath, and banking unspent green mana across turns and phases. As the mana pool swells, Omnath expands into a massive threat capable of eliminating opponents with 21 commander damage in a single swing, while also fueling titanic X-cost Hydras like Mistcutter Hydra and Voracious Hydra. Support cards such as Garruk's Uprising, Selvala, Heart of the Wilds, and Bighorner Rancher reward high-power creatures with card draw, mana multiplication, and essential evasion like trample. The deck operates cleanly on curve and presents a rapid clock once Omnath goes unchecked. However, it exhibits significant vulnerability to instant-speed spot removal, which clears both Omnath and all accumulated mana. It also lacks reactive stack interaction and dedicated protective spells.
