Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Grixis group slug and spellslinger strategy commanded by Abaddon the Despoiler. The core game plan centers on dealing global burn damage across all three opponents to accumulate massive life-loss totals during your turn. This activates Abaddon's Mark of Chaos Ascendant ability, granting cascade to high-impact spells cast from your hand. Early turns focus on establishing mana acceleration and deploying low-cost pingers such as Thermo-Alchemist, Creeping Bloodsucker, and Sanctum of Stone Fangs. On Turn 4 or 5, Abaddon hits the battlefield alongside explosive burn spells like Flame Rift. This triggers cascade chains that cast powerful spells like Call Forth the Tempest, Keeper of Secrets, and Blood for the Blood God! for free. In turn, these free spells trigger damage multipliers like Guttersnipe and Fiery Inscription, while Neheb, the Eternal and Storm-Kiln Artist generate surplus mana to burn out the table by Turn 6.
