Deck overview

This Jeskai Spellslinger deck is led by Gandalf, Party Guest, converting legendary Wizard typal synergies into explosive tempo and mana cheating. The early game establishes cheap, utility legendary Wizards like Baral, Chief of Compliance, Kaza, Roil Chaser, and Kitsa, Otterball Elite alongside efficient mana rocks. Once Gandalf enters the battlefield, his beginning-of-combat trigger casts high-impact instants and sorceries from hand for free, scaling with your count of legendary Wizards. The midgame compounds this advantage through token generation from Kykar, Wind's Fury, Shark Typhoon, and Hermes, Overseer of Elpis, backed by massive card draw engines like Whirlwind of Thought, Azami, Lady of Scrolls, and Traverse Eternity. The deck closes games around Turn 8 through overwhelming flying token swarms and burn damage from Niv-Mizzet, Parun and Gandalf the Grey, paved by asymmetric wipes like Raise the Palisade and Urza's Ruinous Blast.
