Deck overview

This deck is a five-color Spellslinger Storm deck centered on Codie, Ravenous Codex and the Prepare mechanic. The primary strategy revolves around deploying low-cost creatures that enter prepared, allowing them to cast instant and sorcery spell copies. When Codie is on the battlefield, it automatically copies every prepared spell cast, doubling ramp, card draw, and removal. By Turn 5-6, the deck accesses five colors to activate Codie's ability, repreparing all creatures on the battlefield at once. This triggers an explosive storm turn powered by Magecraft and cast payoffs like Storm-Kiln Artist, Archmage Emeritus, Vega, the Watcher, and Vraska, Soul of Stone. The resulting mana and card surplus rapidly burns or drains out all three opponents using doubled burn spells and Stensian Sanguinist // Exsanguinate.
