Deck overview

This mono-black aristocrats deck centers on Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker, turning fragile 1-power creatures into a relentless attrition engine. By sacrificing creatures with power 1 or less each turn, Shirei returns them at the beginning of every end step, triggering entry and death abilities up to four times per table rotation. The deck uses low-cost creatures like Burglar Rat, Dusk Legion Zealot, and Bone Shredder to strip opposing hands, draw cards, and eliminate threats. Free sacrifice outlets such as Viscera Seer, Ashnod's Altar, and Phyrexian Altar fuel the loop on every player's turn. Oppressive locks like Contamination and Grave Pact completely shut down opposing mana and creature development. As life totals dwindle from passive drain effects like Blood Artist and Serrated Scorpion, the deck closes the game with massive mana sink sorceries like Torment of Hailfire or Rise of the Dark Realms.
