Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Zombie Reanimator strategy piloted by Hashaton, Scarab's Fist. The central game plan converts discarded creature cards into 4/4 black Zombie token copies for {2}{U}. By combining free and low-cost discard outlets like Psychic Frog, Cryptbreaker, and Tortured Existence with high-impact reanimation targets like Archon of Cruelty, Archfiend of Ifnir, and Rot Hulk, the deck builds an intimidating army ahead of normal mana curves. Zombie tribal synergies compound this board presence, using Wayward Servant and Corpse Knight to drain opponents as tokens enter, while Gleaming Overseer and Eternal Skylord grant hexproof, menace, and flying. Interaction is primarily creature- and permanent-focused, leveraging efficient exile removal, flexible sweepers like Damn, and repeatable board shrinkage from Archfiend of Ifnir. The deck achieves consistent mid-game momentum, closing games through overwhelming evasive attacks and unavoidable life drain.
