Deck overview

Ardbert builds a wide board of legendary creatures and grows them with +1/+1 counters. You cast white spells to give vigilance and black spells to give menace, stacking counters on every legendary you control. Anthems and counter doublers turn small legends into lethal attackers, while drain effects punish opponents for playing or losing creatures. The deck wins through combat, not combos, and grinds value with card draw and graveyard recursion. Ardbert is the main engine but not the only one; Lae'zel and Arvad act as hidden commanders that amplify the same plan. Interaction is broad removal rather than counterspells, and the deck recovers well from wipes.
