Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue control and combo strategy led by Elrond, Moon-Reader. It pairs Elrond's card-draw trigger with activated creature abilities like Forensic Researcher, Kelpie Guide, and Arni, Humble Scribe to draw extra cards on opponents' turns. A distinct feature of the list is a ten-copy package of Sphinx's Approach, which provides high-density raw card draw to dig for key pieces. The primary win condition is a classic infinite mana loop using Archaeomancer, Peregrine Drake, and Ghostly Flicker. Once assembled, this loop produces infinite mana and endless spell recursion, allowing the deck to bounce every opposing permanent and land using Venser, Shaper Savant or Boomerang, mill the table out with Teferi's Tutelage, or create infinite tokens. The deck protects its combo turn using efficient countermagic and Samut, Tyrant of Naktamun, which gives instants and sorceries split second to shut down opposing responses.
