Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Grixis midrange and tribal strategy led by Sauron, the Dark Lord. It leverages nine copies of Nazgûl, Army token generation, and the Ring tempts you mechanic to bury opponents under card advantage and board presence. Sauron sits at the core of the engine, converting every Ring temptation into a fresh four-card hand while amassing Orcs whenever opponents cast spells. Efficient black tutors like Entomb and Diabolic Intent feed a flexible reanimation package featuring Reanimate and Persist, allowing the deck to cheat devastating payoffs like Archfiend of Ifnir and Lord of the Nazgûl onto the battlefield early. A lean counterspell suite protects key turns, while Archfiend of Ifnir turns Sauron's discard triggers into one-sided board wipes. The deck closes games through massive Wraith combat damage, unblockable attacks, and asymmetric attrition.
