Deck overview

This is a Mardu politics, goad, and pillowfort deck helmed by Mathas, Fiend Seeker. The plan is to seed bounty counters, goad opposing boards, and tax attacks aimed at you so the table bleeds itself out while you collect card advantage and treasures. Mathas, Fiend Seeker is a low-cost political engine rather than a hard win condition: his end-step bounties bribe the table into removing each other's threats and feed group draw/life. Primary wins come from redirected combat pressure, drain off Kardur, Doomscourge, token floods via Inkshield or Combat Calligrapher, and the classic one-shot finisher Insurrection. Secondary tools include overloaded Spectacular Showdown, monarch value from Queen Marchesa, and steady attrition behind Ghostly Prison, Windborn Muse, and Norn's Annex. There are no infinite combo lines; the deck wins through multiplayer dynamics, soft locks, and a late combat swing.
