Deck overview

This is a Simic X-spell value and +1/+1 counters midrange deck helmed by Zimone, Infinite Analyst. The plan centers on casting spells with {X} in their costs-primarily hydras, fractal producers, and X-draw-to grow Zimone, which then discounts subsequent X-spells while she accumulates counters. Counter doublers and anthems such as Hardened Scales, Ozolith, the Shattered Spire, Kami of Whispered Hopes, and Unbound Flourishing turn modest X investments into enormous threats. Primary wins come from combat via oversized hydras (Primordial Hydra, Goldvein Hydra, Benevolent Hydra, Lifeblood Hydra), go-wide fractals (Lattice Library, Deekah, Fractal Theorist, Primo, the Unbounded), and finishers like Biomass Mutation or Tanazir Quandrix. There are no infinite combo lines; the deck grinds value and closes through board presence. Zimone is a powerful accelerator but not a hard lock-piece-the 99 still functions as a fair X-matters combat deck without her.
