Elfball by ANTHO

Format: Commander

Commander: Lathril, Blade of the Elves

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Lathril, Blade of the Elves deck is a classic Golgari Elfball build that blends fast mana, token generation, and pump effects into a linear go-wide combat strategy. Lathril herself provides a repeatable token engine on combat damage and a built-in finisher by draining each opponent for 10 life when ten Elves are tapped. The deck's primary path to victory is assembling a critical mass of Elf tokens, then deploying a finisher like Craterhoof Behemoth, Finale of Devastation (X 10), or Torment of Hailfire for X large. Token doublers (Parallel Lives, Doubling Season) and a dense suite of Elf lords and anthems accelerate the clock. Secondary lines include the commander's activated ability or Ezuri, Renegade Leader's overrun effect. The deck is highly tribal-synergistic, with the commander acting as both a value engine and a win condition, but the core elf-tribal plan functions respectably without her.
