Deck overview

This Boros spellslinger deck is helmed by Lorehold, the Historian, leveraging its miracle-granting ability to cheat on mana for high-cost instants and sorceries. The deck's primary game plan is to set up a robust card-advantage engine (Land Tax, Smothering Tithe, Esper Sentinel), then use Lorehold's discard-draw to repeatedly draw into expensive spells and cast them for just {2} via miracle. From there, the deck chains together powerful effects-Apex of Power for a massive mana burst, Surge to Victory for copy-fueled damage, or Mizzix's Mastery for graveyard recursion-to overwhelm opponents. Win conditions include Approach of the Second Sun (cast twice from hand, often at miracle cost), Aetherflux Reservoir (life gain from casting spells), or a huge Storm Herd token army. The deck is a value-oriented, midrange control build that can pivot into explosive turns but lacks a fast, linear combo kill.
