Deck overview

This is a Mardu graveyard-reanimator "phoenix tribal" build helmed by Celes, Rune Knight. The core loop is to use Celes' ETB as a wheel-lite: discard phoenixes, madness spells, and recursion targets, then draw fresh cards. Creatures that enter from the graveyard - Skyfire Phoenix, Chainer, Nightmare Adept reanimations, and the various self-returning phoenixes - trigger Celes' second ability and turn the team into an ever-growing pile of +1/+1 counters. The deck wins primarily through recursive flying combat, assisted by lifelink/double strike effects such as True Conviction and Abzan Battle Priest, plus the table-wide drain of Syr Konrad, the Grim and Undead Hand Ninja. The most compact finisher is the infinite Murderous Redcap + Celes, Rune Knight + Warstorm Surge persist loop. Big-mana turns with Mana Geyser into Devastating Onslaught/Warstorm Surge provide an additional burst finish.
