Deck overview

This deck is an Esper topdeck-manipulation and cheat-into-play strategy built around Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign. The primary game plan utilizes cheap mana rocks and topdeck curators—such as Sensei's Divining Top, Aminatou, the Fateshifter, and Aqueous Form—to deploy Yennett on Turn 4 and attack on Turn 5. Upon declaring attacks, Yennett reveals and casts devastating odd-mana-value spells without paying their mana costs. The payoff suite features format-warping threats including Breach the Multiverse, Void Winnower, Toxrill, the Corrosive, and Expropriate, rapidly converting mana velocity into decisive asymmetric board dominance and extra turns. A secondary package featuring Doomsday and Demonic Consultation paired with Laboratory Maniac offers an alternative line to close stalled games. While the deck boasts explosive top-end swings and potent individual bombs, it relies on combat damage across multiple response cycles to eliminate three opponents and suffers from limited stack protection during Yennett's vulnerable summoning sickness window.
