Board Wipe Tribal by Fredrikie

Format: Commander

Commander: Zurgo Helmsmasher

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Mardu board-wipe control deck helmed by Zurgo Helmsmasher, built entirely around the commander's indestructible-during-own-turn ability. The plan is to wipe the board on your turn - Zurgo survives every Wrath of God-class effect - then swing for 7 commander damage with haste. The deck runs over twenty board wipes, from Austere Command and Damnation to Jokulhaups and Obliterate, plus a dense protection suite to keep Zurgo alive. The primary win is three Zurgo hits for 21 commander damage, accelerated by Worldslayer (a one-sided wipe lock), Chandra's Ignition with Phyresis for poison, and Stuffy Doll synergy. Avacyn, Angel of Hope provides an indestructible backup beatdown, while Rule of Law and Raiyuu, Storm's Edge add control and extra combat reach.
