Deck overview

This deck is a flavorful tribute to the planeswalker Ajani, blending Cat tribal aggression with a high density of Ajani planeswalkers under the leadership of Marisi, Breaker of the Coil. The strategy centers on establishing early Cat creatures, casting Marisi to enforce combat goad on all opponents, and silencing opposing interaction during combat steps. Behind this combat misdirection, a council of Ajani planeswalkers continuously distributes +1/+1 counters, creates tokens, and pads life totals. While opponents are forced to expend their resources and creatures against one another, the deck amasses a formidable ground presence. Once opposing life totals and defenses are sufficiently softened by forced attacks, the deck finishes the game using wide overrun effects like Overrun, Titanic Ultimatum, or massive activations from Jazal Goldmane. Its adherence to theme limits its acceleration and tutor density, but its battlefield pressure remains cohesive.
