Format: Commander

Commander: Gyome, Master Chef

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Gyome, Master Chef is the engine of a Golgari Food-control deck that turns token generation into life and drains. The primary plan is to accumulate Food with Gyome, Gilded Goose, Courier of Comestibles, and Nuka-Cola Vending Machine, then convert that Food into mana, cards, or life. Dina, Soul Steeper and Mirkwood Bats are the hidden payoff pair, converting each life gain or token event into opponent life loss. Secondary paths include a recursion package (Dread Return, Nullpriest of Oblivion, Witch of the Moors) and an overrun finish via Blossoming Bogbeast and Mazirek. Gyome's activated ability also gives targeted protection from removal, making the commander a defensive enabler as much as a token engine.
