Deck overview

This Jeskai deck focuses on overwhelming the table with a swarm of Human tokens led by Éowyn, Shieldmaiden. By curving out with low-cost utility Humans and mana rocks, the deck casts Éowyn on Turn 4 or 5 and immediately triggers her combat ability to create two 2/2 trample haste Knight tokens. The game plan quickly shifts into lethal combat pressure using massive team-wide pump effects like Shared Animosity, Greymond, Avacyn's Stalwart, and Horn of Gondor, or closing out the game with an unblockable Akroma's Will. A dedicated suite of counterspells and protective permanents such as Boromir, Warden of the Tower and Myrel, Shield of Argive shields the board against opposing sweepers. If the primary commander plan is stalled, the deck possesses a compact backup infinite combat combo via Combat Celebrant and Rionya, Fire Dancer to eliminate the entire table in one turn.
