Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai Superfriends control strategy helmed by Commodore Guff. It establishes an early defensive posture through efficient artifact ramp and pillowfort deterrents such as Norn's Annex, Silent Arbiter, and Sphere of Safety. Once protected, it deploys a dense suite of planeswalkers that generate loyalty, create defensive tokens, and control the board with sweepers like Supreme Verdict and Promise of Loyalty. The deck accelerates planeswalker ultimates through proliferation engines including Flux Channeler, Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus, and Ichormoon Gauntlet. Rather than utilizing infinite combos, it closes out games by chaining planeswalker abilities, triggering game-winning emblems, and dealing widespread burn damage with Commodore Guff and Chandra, Legacy of Fire. While resilient against grounded creature combat, the strategy relies heavily on permanent-based board presence, making it vulnerable to nonland board wipes and sustained aerial pressure.
