Commander: Hazel of the Rootbloom

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Golgari Squirrel-tribal token deck helmed by Hazel of the Rootbloom, who pulls double duty as a mana engine (tapping her token army for mana) and an end-step token doubler. The deck floods the board with Squirrel tokens through a dense web of multipliers - Chatterfang, Squirrel General, Peregrin Took, Tippy-Toe, Terrific Partner, and Academy Manufactor - then converts that mass into a win via Craterhoof Behemoth, Beastmaster Ascension, Garruk, Cursed Huntsman's emblem, or a drain engine of Mirkwood Bats, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Poison-Tip Archer. Hazel's activated ability lets the deck tap its tokens for mana, accelerating big spells and enabling explosive turns. This is a midrange value engine that wins through overwhelming combat presence and incremental drain, with several token-generation loops providing alternate paths.
