Between Death and Dreams by jmajewicz23

Format: Commander

Commander: Massacre Girl, Known Killer

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-black -1/-1 counter control deck helmed by Massacre Girl, Known Killer. The commander grants all your creatures wither, converting combat damage into -1/-1 counters, and draws a card whenever an opponent's creature with toughness less than 1 dies - turning every board wipe and removal spell into card advantage. The deck's plan is to control the board with a dense suite of -X/-X spells, chain those counters with Blowfly Infestation, steal dying creatures with Necroskitter and Grave Betrayal, and close the game through attrition: Syr Konrad, the Grim and Massacre Wurm drain the table as creatures die, while Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Black Market convert the death economy into life and mana. It wins through grinding inevitability rather than fast combos, using repeated wipes and stolen boards to outlast three opponents.
