Commander: Kaalia of the Vast

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a combat-focused Mardu build helmed by Kaalia of the Vast, dedicated to cheating out huge Angels, Demons, and Dragons during combat. The primary game plan is to accelerate into Kaalia, protect her, then attack each turn to put a high-impact creature from hand onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. The deck leverages damage multipliers like Twinflame Tyrant and Neriv, Heart of the Storm, extra combat steps from Aurelia, the Warleader and Scourge of the Throne, and life-loss doublers like Bloodletter of Aclazotz to turn a single attack wave into a game-ending blow. It also includes a respectable interactive suite of instant-speed removal, free spells, and turn-protection pieces to shield its critical combat turns.
