Deck overview

This Mono-Green Stompy deck harnesses aggressively costed, high-power creatures to rapidly reduce the casting cost of Ghalta, Primal Hunger to just two green mana. By curving 1-drop mana dorks into over-statted 3-drops such as Pugnacious Hammerskull, Steel Leaf Champion, and Tangleweave Armor, the deck reliably amasses 10 or more power on board by Turn 3. This enables Ghalta to enter on Turn 4 as an imposing 12/12 trampler. The deck converts its immense board presence into massive card advantage through power-matters engines like Garruk's Uprising, Elemental Bond, and Rishkar's Expertise. Lethal damage is delivered through trample combat, boosted by finishers such as Overwhelming Stampede and Unnatural Growth. While lacking stack interaction and tutors, the list maintains high redundancy and resilience, recovering quickly from removal by deploying backup beaters that immediately re-discount Ghalta for subsequent recastings.
