Deck overview

This deck is a focused Mono-Red aggressive strategy led by Gornog, the Red Reaper. The game plan revolves around rapidly deploying low-cost Warriors to establish early pressure, casting Gornog on curve with haste, and turning opposing defenders into Cowards that cannot block Warriors. As more Cowards are created across the table, attacking Warriors receive escalating power buffs. The deck converts this combat evasion into decisive victories by stacking extra combat phases using spells like Relentless Assault, Full Throttle, Fury of the Horde, and permanents like Moraug, Fury of Akoum and Combat Celebrant. In addition, it carries an infinite combat combo with Aggravated Assault paired with Sword of Feast and Famine or Neheb, the Eternal. While vulnerable to mass board wipes due to a lack of board-wide protection, Gornog's innate haste and low mana cost allow rapid rebuilding.
