Deck overview

This mono-green Commander deck is led by Kodama of the South Tree, converting classic Kamigawa Spirit and Arcane synergies into aggressive combat pressure. The strategy focuses on establishing an early board of low-cost Spirit creatures and shapeshifters before deploying the commander on turn 4. Once Kodama is in play, every Spirit and Arcane spell cast grants a global +1/+1 buff and trample to all other creatures, turning small utility creatures into formidable attackers. The deck relies on high creature density and land ramp to fuel recurring casts, with cards like Haru-Onna and Elder Pine of Jukai providing repeated triggers and resource flow. It closes games through overwhelming combat damage across turns 6 to 8. While resilient against single-target removal thanks to Soulshift recursion and low-cost protection spells, the deck is naturally vulnerable to board sweepers and lacks dedicated stax or stack interaction.
