Format: Commander

Commander: Kunoros, Hound of Athreos

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This Orzhov midrange deck is helmed by Kunoros, Hound of Athreos, a hatebear that shuts down graveyard recursion and reanimation while offering a lifelink body for combat. The deck is a scattered collection of angel tribal, lifegain synergies, equipment, and knight tribal, lacking a focused combo or consistent tutor package. The primary win condition is combat damage from large flyers such as Akroma, Angel of Wrath and Archon of Cruelty, supplemented by life-drain effects like Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose. The deck plays as a fair battlecruiser strategy, relying on incremental value and board presence rather than fast or resilient lines.
