Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai Spellslinger Tempo deck led by Massimo, the Magician. The strategy focuses on casting efficient 1-CMC cantrips and removal spells, then using Massimo to imprint them onto cheap, unblockable creatures such as Slither Blade, Shoreline Looter, and Wraith, Vicious Vigilante. Each combat connection casts free copies of the exiled spells, generating continuous card advantage, board development, and tempo. In the mid-to-late game, the deck converts this velocity into victory through storm payoffs and spellslinger damage multipliers, including Elemental Eruption, Empty the Warrens, Fiery Inscription, Guttersnipe, and Balmor, Battlemage Captain. With low mana curves and dense 1-mana interaction, the deck maintains high operational efficiency while sculpting explosive storm turns.
