Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir tempo-combo build powered by Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. It uses cheap, unblockable 1-drop creatures to trigger Commander ninjutsu on Turn 2. Yuriko's ability bypasses the commander tax entirely and converts combat connections into substantial card advantage and group life loss. This steady card flow quickly draws into efficient black tutors, premier free counterspells, and the primary win condition: Thassa's Oracle paired with Demonic Consultation. The deck also packs asymmetric disruption like Opposition Agent and Notion Thief, which can lock opponents out of their hands when combined with Teferi's Puzzle Box. High-cost spells and casual combat pieces provide secondary damage pressure, while the compact 3-mana combo offers a decisive same-turn finish backed by format-ceiling protection.
