Deck overview

This deck is a Bant midrange strategy led by Aang, at the Crossroads, focusing on enter-the-battlefield triggers, creature blinking, landfall, and +1/+1 counters. Early turns prioritize ramping with cards like Nature's Lore and Farseek to cast Aang on Turn 4. Aang immediately digs five cards deep to put a high-impact 4-mana creature onto the battlefield, such as Chulane, Teller of Tales, Morska, Undersea Sleuth, or Lagrella, the Magpie. Once a creature leaves the battlefield through blink spells like Restoration Angel or Airbender Ascension, Aang transforms into Aang, Destined Savior. The transformed commander turns lands into vigilant, growing attackers every combat. Mid-game payoffs like Felidar Retreat, Dancing from Dark to Dawn, and Kalonian Hydra rapidly expand power across the board. The deck closes games through overwhelming trample and flying combat damage across two table cycles, supported by light countermagic and turn protection.
