Deck overview

Silverquill, the Disputant leads an Orzhov midrange deck that blends spellslinger mechanics with aristocrat sacrifice synergies. The deck's primary engine uses the commander's casualty ability to duplicate cheap instants and sorceries that target creatures. Casting these spells triggers Repartee abilities, creating flying Inkling tokens, draining opponents, and buffing your creatures. The generated tokens provide steady fodder to pay future casualty costs or form an evasive aerial army. High-value modal spells like Moment of Reckoning and reactive staples like Anguished Unmaking and Inkshield allow the deck to control opposing boards while advancing its own. Protection spells such as Duty Beyond Death and Masterful Flourish defend key creatures from removal. The deck closes games by swarming the table with buffed fliers through Kinbinding and Practiced Offense while draining remaining life totals with Melancholic Poet and copied damage spells.
