Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Boros Voltron strategy built around Lightning, Army of One. Lightning's Stagger ability creates compounding damage multipliers: whenever she deals combat damage to an opponent, all subsequent damage dealt to that player or their permanents is doubled until your next turn. By pairing Lightning with double strike enablers such as Duelist's Heritage and Lizard Blades, her first-strike damage immediately triggers Stagger to double her regular combat damage in the exact same combat step. The deck aggressively stacks extra combat phases using cards like Aggravated Assault, Seize the Day, Karlach, Fury of Avernus, and Aurelia, the Warleader to repeatedly trigger and multiply Stagger instances into exponential, lethal commander damage. Supporting cards like Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar radiate this damage across the entire table simultaneously. Backed by cheap, versatile protection spells and equipment tutors, the deck establishes an aggressive Turn 4 clock that eliminates opponents in rapid succession.
