Format: Commander

Commander: Oloro, Ageless Ascetic

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Oloro, Ageless Ascetic is a single-faced commander, and this Esper deck is a classic lifegain-control build. The primary plan is to bank life from Oloro's command-zone upkeep trigger, then cast him as a repeatable pay-{1} draw-and-drain engine. Secondary paths are the Drogskol Reaver + Queza life/draw loop, Sanguine Bond-style amplifiers, and Felidar Sovereign's 40-life alternative win. The deck has no premium tutors, so it wins by digging with Phyrexian Arena, Well of Lost Dreams, and Oloro's upkeep trigger while 22 interaction pieces and five board wipes keep the table from racing it. No other card functions as a hidden commander; the supporting legendaries only advance the same drain-lifegain plan.
