Deck overview

This deck is a high-speed competitive Mardu combo deck leveraging Edgar Markov primarily for his Eminence ability, which supplies free creature fodder for sacrifice-based mana and card draw engines without ever needing to cast the commander. The primary strategy focuses on achieving a rapid turn 2-3 win through Ad Nauseam, Underworld Breach storm lines, or Oathsworn Vampire sacrifice loops. It accelerates rapidly using 0-1 CMC mana rocks and rituals like Dark Ritual and Culling the Weak. The deck ensures high consistency with premier black and red tutors, while safeguarding its winning turns behind silence effects including Silence, Grand Abolisher, and Ranger-Captain of Eos. Anti-meta disruption pieces like Opposition Agent and Orcish Bowmasters provide tactical interaction against opposing competitive game plans.
