Commander: Animar, Soul of Elements

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Animar, Soul of Elements leads a Temur creature-combo deck that ramps into a discounted swarm of hydras and Eldrazi. The primary path is to land Animar early, feed him cheap creature spells to rack up +1/+1 counters, then use the resulting cost reduction to chain X-spells and annihilator threats. The deck's cleanest wins are infinite: Ancestral Statue loops with Animar plus Impact Tremors or Walking Ballista, and a backup Hullbreaker Horror/Sol Ring line into Ballista. Without a tutor, the one-of combo pieces limit consistency, so the deck also pressures with Sarkhan's Unsealing, huge tramplers, and overrun effects. Removal and protection are present, but interaction is limited without free counters.
