Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari Lands Midrange strategy built around The Gitrog Monster. It accelerates early with efficient ramp spells and fetchlands to deploy its commander by Turn 4. Once assembled, Gitrog converts land drops, land sacrifice effects, and dredge cards like Life from the Loam and Dakmor Salvage into massive card advantage. On Turns 5 and 6, the deck pivots into game-ending landfall payoffs such as Avenger of Zendikar, Titania, Protector of Argoth, and Rampaging Baloths, or mass land reanimation via Splendid Reclamation. It defends key creatures using Sylvan Safekeeper and disrupts critical opposing permanents with versatile removal like Assassin's Trophy and Beast Within. The deck closes the game around Turn 7 through overwhelming combat damage from high-powered Elemental, Beast, and Plant tokens.
