Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black aristocrats and reanimator strategy piloted by Syr Konrad, the Grim. It combines continuous creature sacrifice, mill, and mass reanimation to deal high bursts of noncombat damage to the entire table simultaneously. Early turns focus on establishing mana acceleration, sacrifice outlets like Ashnod's Altar or Ayara, First of Locthwain, and stocking the graveyard with tutors such as Entomb and Buried Alive. Mid-game transitions into oppressive board control using Grave Pact and Braids, Arisen Nightmare to strip opposing creatures while drawing cards through Skullclamp and Erebos, Bleak-Hearted. The deck closes games around Turn 6 by resolving high-impact spells like Living Death, Breach the Multiverse, or a large Torment of Hailfire, triggering massive life drain via Konrad. While weak to rest-in-peace style graveyard exile and lacking stack interaction, its dense recursion ensures rapid recovery from conventional removal.
