Deck overview

This mono-green stompy deck is built around commander Ghalta, Primal Hunger. The core game plan focuses on deploying efficient, undercosted high-power creatures such as Steel Leaf Champion, Pugnacious Hammerskull, and Gigantosaurus during the opening turns. This rapidly discounts Ghalta's casting cost to just {G}{G}, allowing a 12/12 trampler to hit the battlefield as early as Turn 4. The deck refuels using power-matters draw engines like Garruk's Uprising, Elemental Bond, and Rishkar's Expertise to sustain board presence. Victory is achieved through devastating combat damage, amplified by overruns such as Overwhelming Stampede and Unnatural Growth. While exceptionally fast and potent at developing raw board statistics, the deck lacks stack interaction, tutors, and dense mass protection, making it reliant on aggressive curve-out sequencing and natural draws to power through opposing board wipes.
