$20 Budget Ghalta by Xrun

Format: Commander

Commander: Ghalta, Primal Hunger

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a straightforward mono-green stompy deck helmed by Ghalta, Primal Hunger, built exactly around the pilot's stated plan: ramp hard, drop Ghalta for cheap, and swing. A dense package of 16+ mana dorks and land-ramp spells (Llanowar Elves, Ilysian Caryatid, Nissa's Pilgrimage, Topiary Stomper) builds board power, which both reduces Ghalta's cost and feeds power-matters payoffs like Garruk's Uprising, Thickest in the Thicket, Drumhunter, and Return of the Wildspeaker. The deck wins through commander damage from the 12/12 trampler, backed by Unnatural Growth as a force multiplier and a suite of fight spells (Ram Through, Super Combo, Spinning Wheel Kick) for removal. Secondary threats like Elder Gargaroth, Terastodon, and Kogla, the Titan Ape provide value and board control. It is a board-committed beatdown deck with no infinite combos and minimal stack interaction.
