Deck overview

This is a Rakdos Dragon/Treasure deck helmed by Smaug the Impenetrable, a 7-mana 8/7 with flying, indestructible, and haste that creates Treasures whenever it is dealt noncombat damage. The plan is to ramp aggressively with rituals, medallions, and Treasure generators, land Smaug, then weaponize his damage trigger with reflection pieces like Blazing Sunsteel, Pariah's Shield, Pain for All, and Self-Destruct to amass a hoard and finish with Torment of Hailfire or Exsanguinate. Alternate wins come from Revel in Riches, Hellkite Tyrant, and raw dragon combat. The deck is a midrange value engine that trades early tempo for a massive, hard-to-remove commander and explosive X-spell finishes.
