Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos theft-and-sacrifice aristocrats strategy helmed by Rakdos, the Muscle. The core plan revolves around using temporary control effects such as Kari Zev's Expertise, Furnace Reins, and Bloody Betrayal to seize opposing creatures, attack with them, and sacrifice them to Rakdos before end of turn. Sacrificing high-mana-value creatures triggers Rakdos to exile large batches of cards from opponents' libraries, providing a continuous flow of playable spells castable with mana of any color. Secondary engines like Prosper, Tome-Bound, Laughing Jasper Flint, and Brainstealer Dragon accelerate mana and life drain, while Passionate Archaeologist converts spells cast from exile into direct damage. Built-in indestructible on the commander offers natural resilience against sweepers, allowing the deck to control creature-based boards through asymmetric attrition and close the game across multiple combat and burn cycles by Turn 9.
