Format: Commander

Commander: Astarion, the Decadent

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Astarion the Decadent commands an Orzhov lifegain and attrition deck that punishes opponents by doubling their life loss. The early game establishes incremental board presence with evasive creatures, lifelinkers, and targeted removal to stabilize your life total. The primary win condition revolves around resolving heavy life-loss spells such as Blood Tribute or Revenge with Astarion on the battlefield, using his Feed trigger at the end step to immediately eliminate an opponent. Sanguine Bond provides an alternate win avenue by converting heavy lifegain into lethal burn. Supported by versatile removal and reanimation engines, the deck grinds down the table through relentless life manipulation.
