Commander: Witherbloom, the Balancer

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Witherbloom, the Balancer commands a swarm strategy that leverages wide creature boards to cheat massive mana costs. Early turns focus on establishing mana dorks and continuous token generators such as Bitterblossom, Chatterfang, Squirrel General, and Scute Swarm. Once a critical mass of creatures enters the battlefield, Witherbloom hits play for as little as two mana, granting all your instants and sorceries affinity for creatures. This dramatic cost reduction allows you to cast devastating high-cost spells like Breach the Multiverse, In Garruk's Wake, and Peer into the Abyss for minimal mana. You then close out the game through combat damage with Craterhoof Behemoth, a lethal Torment of Hailfire, or Biorhythm.
