Caelum et Infernum by Olly290

Format: Commander

Commander: Kaalia of the Vast

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a classic Kaalia of the Vast Mardu cheat deck that weaponizes her attack trigger to dump Angels, Demons, and Dragons onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. The primary plan is to ramp into Kaalia, protect her, and convert each swing into a free high-impact flyer-ideally Aurelia, the Warleader or Scourge of the Throne to chain extra combats the same turn, or finishers like Gisela, Blade of Goldnight and Drakuseth, Maw of Flames for burst damage. Secondary lines include a modest reanimation package (Reanimate, Victimize, Karmic Guide, Reya Dawnbringer) and angel tribal support from Giada, Font of Hope, Lyra Dawnbringer, and Sephara, Sky's Blade. There are no infinite combos; the deck wins through overwhelming combat damage and multi-combat turns. Kaalia is the engine that makes the expensive curve (AMV ~4.05) function on time.
